Community Care Initiative

North Star Health is committed to serving the local community with professionalism, integrity and compassion.

Through the Community Care Initiative, a limited number of Community Support Appointments are made available each month for individuals who may be financially vulnerable or who would otherwise struggle to access private healthcare services.

This initiative is particularly intended to support patients whose comfort, wellbeing or quality of life may be affected by ear wax build-up, but who may find the cost of private treatment difficult to manage.

All Community Support Appointments are delivered to the same clinical standard as any other consultation within the clinic.

Referral & Nomination

Community Support Appointments are primarily offered through nomination.

North Star Health works alongside local community hubs, support organisations and community groups who may refer individuals they believe would benefit from this initiative.

Nominations may also be submitted by:

Carers
Family members
Community leaders
Local support services

Each nomination is reviewed individually and treated with discretion. Appointments are limited and allocated at the clinic’s discretion.

Important Information

A limited number of appointments are available each month
Appointments cannot be exchanged or transferred
Each individual may access the initiative once within a 12-month period
Standard clinical suitability criteria still apply

All appointments remain subject to clinical assessment and informed consent. The individual being nominated must be willing to attend and agree to treatment following appropriate explanation.

Your organisation/community (if relevant)
Confirmation that the nominee is aware of and willing to be contacted
Has the person accessed this initiative before?
